She is regarded as an artistic rebel: In her work she vehemently resists any form of aesthetics of uniformity and of boredom. Her videos, wall hangings or installations are thus characterised by deliberately passionate actions and excessive use of material. What at first sight appear to be simple actions or gestures are, however, subsequently becoming charged emotionally or metaphorically. In so doing the Swedish artist shows an extraordinary feeling for time and material as well as for her opposite number. Whether she works with performances, installations or videos, she skilfully incorporates the beholder physically as well as mentally into her work.
